Siliguri, 11th May: Like last year, this year too, a handful of customers are spotted before Eid at shops in the Hashmi Chowk area.
Samsud Alam, a trader, said that the situation is the same as last year. They hoped to earn some profits this year, but the pandemic ruined all their plans.
Another trader, Shakil Ahmed, said all the items brought for business are being wasted. He expressed disappointment over the matter that even if they want to sell things at low prices, there are no buyers.
