Darjeeling, 25th September: The Gurkha National Ex-Servicemen’s Organization has written to the Prime Minister and Defense Minister through Darjeeling MP Raju Bista regarding the recruitment of Gorkha soldiers.
It is to be noted that every candidate from the Gorkha community must score 33 percent marks in the secondary examination when enlisting in the Indian Army.
According to Ringa Tamang, Executive Chairperson of Gurkha National Ex-Servicemen’s Organization, the organization through the letter urged the Prime Minister and Defense Minister to recruit the Gorkha youths who have passed with a normal passing grade in the Indian Army.
