Siliguri, 29th July: A delegation led by Suraj Subba, Chairman, Central Committee, Darjeeling Terai Dooars Plantation Labour Union (DTDPLU) of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha-1, met the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) President at the Bengal Chamber of Commerce in Kolkata today and handed over a memorandum regarding Leave Traveling Allowance (LTA) to the staff and sub-staff at the tea gardens.
The memorandum discussed the long-pending sanction regarding the increase in the LTA of sub-staff. Furthermore, the letter emphasized the urgent decision to be taken regarding the increase in amount to be received by the staff. Apart from DTDPLU Central Chairman Suraj Subba, Treasurer Sujit Niroula, Joint Secretary Ravi Shankar and others were also present.
