Naxalbari, 19th October: A giant python was recovered from a paddy field in the Surjabar area of Maniram in Naxalbari block.
Farmers were harvesting paddy on the banks of the Mechi river. While cutting the paddy, they spotted the said python in the paddy field. After this, the Kalabari Forest Department was informed.
As soon as the news was received, the forest department reached the spot and rescued the python.
