Four MLAs return to Siliguri after participating in assembly session for the first time

Siliguri, 10th July: Four MLAs from Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts participated in the assembly session for the first time after the assembly elections. Speaking to reporters after returning to Siliguri today, Siliguri Assembly Constituency MLA Shankar Ghosh shared his experience of the first assembly session.


Apart from this, Dabgram-Fulbari assembly constituency MLA Shikha Chatterjee, Matigara-Naxalbari MLA Anandamoy Barman and Phanidewa assembly constituency MLA Durga Murmu also participated in the assembly session for the first time.

Addressing a press conference, MLA Shankar Ghosh said that North Bengal has been deprived in various ways. “We have raised various issues of North Bengal in the Vidhan Sabha and all the problems of Siliguri have also been raised. This includes Darjeeling More Flyover and Mahananda Action Plan,” Ghosh added.
