Rajganj, 06th February: Today the foundation stone for a paved road from Putimari to Bhalobasa More in Rajganj, which is about 5.5 km, was laid by the Jalpaiguri District Council Chairperson Uttara Barman through a programme.
Through the ‘Bangla Gram Sadak Yojana,’ the road is being conducted with a budget of 68 lakh 84 thousand under the supervision of Jalpaiguri District Council.
In this regard, Uttara Barman stated that it is an alternate route for many people to Siliguri through Putimari. The route was constructed 15 years ago, during the Left’s rule, but was never repaired. The locals have requested the repair of the road.
During this, Assistant Councilor of the District Council Dulal Debnath, working president Debasish Pramanik, Gram Panchayat head Dilip Roy and representatives of the area were also present.
