Siliguri, 20th October: STF arrested former KLO militant Malkhan Singh, whose real identity is Madhav Mandal. On Wednesday night, STF arrested Malkhan from Kharibari. He has been arrested twice before as well.
STF officials suspect that Malkhan’s contacts with KLO have increased recently and that he was also present during a secret meeting in Assam on August 15 and is in touch with KLO chief Jeevan Singh. Due to this a case of sedition has been registered against him. The accused will be taken into police custody and will be further interrogated by the STF officials.
