Five miscreants arrested before a planned robbery in Siliguri

Siliguri, 13th April: In a significant breakthrough, the Pradhan Nagar police station has arrested five miscreants before carrying out a planned robbery in Siliguri. The arrested miscreants have been identified as Arun Vishwakarma (20), Chris Limbu (22), Suraj Chhetri (23), Mukesh Vishwakarma (26) and Rajesh Sah (35). As stated, Arun is from Jhapa in Nepal, Rajesh from Jaigaon and Chris and Mukesh are from Sikkim, while Suraj is a resident of Darjeeling More area of Siliguri.


As per police sources, Suraj Chhetri had called upon his old friend from Nepal, Sikkim and Jaigaon to execute a robbery. Subsequently, they gathered in the ground of Sri Guru Vidya Mandir High School on Friday night.

Acting on a tip-off, the crime wing team of Pradhan Nagar police station launched an operation in the said location. Meanwhile, about 10-12 miscreants who had gathered in the ground attempted to flee, however, the police managed to nab five miscreants. On Saturday, all five miscreants have been produced before the Siliguri court, while the police are engaged in further investigation.
