Siliguri, 09th December: Sensation prevailed after a fire broke out at Siliguri’s Indian Oil Corporation on Wednesday afternoon. The incident caused a stir in the entire area.
Reportedly, the fire broke out while pipeline repair work was being carried out. After the news came to light, an atmosphere of tension engulfed the area. Acting promptly, oil tankers kept on the road were immediately removed and the incident was then reported to the fire brigade.
According to sources, due to narrow roads and traffic congestion, it took a lot of time for 4 fire engines to reach the spot. However, before the fire brigade arrived, the fire was brought under control with the help of fire extinguishers.
