Darjeeling, 25th August: In a tragic incident, an elderly man lost his life following a landslide in Dara village of Pattabong in the Takbhar area of Darjeeling. The deceased has been identified as Babulal Rai (59). Notably, incessant rainfall in the region resulted in the landslide.
Upon receiving the news, Alok Kantamani Thulung, Darjeeling District President of Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha and In-charge of Takbhar arrived at the spot of the incident. In addition, a rescue team of the fire department also arrived at the spot and recovered the deceased’s body.
