Duare Sarkar to conduct booth-wise, 47 roads allocated to Darjeeling district under the Pathashree project: Papiya Ghosh

Siliguri, 30th March: Duare Sarkar will be organized booth to booth-wise. Darjeeling District TMC President Papiya Ghosh gave the information about the same at a press conference on Thursday. The state government has decided to take the initiative to establish connectivity between the village and the city through the Pathashree project. On March 28, the foundation stone of 12,000 km of roads has been laid from Singur across 22 districts at a total cost of Rs 3,500 crore. Out of this, 47 road projects have been allotted to the Darjeeling district.


A press conference was organized at the Trinamool party office on Thursday. During this, the Mayor of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Goutam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, and others were present. Papiya Ghosh said that the funds for the Pathashree project are being allocated by the state government and alleged no cooperation from the center.

Along with this, it has been decided by the state government that for the welfare of the people, the door-to-door ‘Duare Sarkar’ will now be organized in a booth-to-booth wise. This will ensure that the common people can easily put their complaints and grievances up front.
