Raiganj, 18th February: A drunk man has been accused of killing his four-year-old child Sahil on Wednesday night. The tragic incident surfaced from the Raiganj Jhitkia village in Uttar Dinajpur district. The accused father Nastar Ali has been absconding since the incident.
Allegedly, tension over dowry had been hovering over Nastar Ali and his wife. Allegedly the course of the conflict took a violent turn on Wednesday, during which, the furious father shot his child. After the incident, the four-year-old was rescued and taken to Raiganj Medical College and Hospital. Unfortunately, the child died shortly after.
Raiganj police are investigating the whole incident. Police have launched a search operation for the accused Nastar Ali.
