DRI arrest two along with 3 kgs of gold in Siliguri

Siliguri, 18th November: Based on a tip-off, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) launched operations and arrested two men from the Junction area along with 3 kgs of gold.


The arrested accused have been identified as Yusuf and Midlaj. A car has been detained in the incident. 36 gold biscuits weighing around 2 kg 985 grams were recovered from the car. The market value of the recovered gold has been estimated to be around 1 crore 57 lakh rupees.

Reportedly, the arrested individuals are residents of Kerala. They were produced before the Siliguri court on Wednesday. The DRI has launched an investigation into the incident.
