Siliguri, 17th February: BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh went to meet winning Trinamool candidate of Ward no-24 Protul Chakraborty at his residence and congratulated him for his victory, on Thursday morning.
It is to be mentioned that Shankar Ghosh became the councilor of the said ward in 2015. However, this time, Trinamool candidate Protul Chakraborty has emerged victorious in the Siliguri Municipal Corporation election by defeating former councilor and BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh of Ward no. 24.
Despite fierce competition between the two parties during the election period, BJP leader Shankar Ghosh met Chakraborty at his residence and congratulated him on winning the election.
