Jaigaon, 29th January: Sensation surfaced from a hotel located in Jaigaon after a body was found hanging from a noose. The deceased has been identified as Raja Chhetri, a resident of Kalej Valley had reached Jaigaon on Saturday evening.
Reportedly, Raja had booked a room in the said hotel. On Sunday morning the hotel personnel got suspicious after Raja did not open the door despite their several times calling him out. After entering the room, the personnel found the dead body of Raja hanging from a noose through the window. After this, they informed about the incident to the Jaigaon police.
As soon as the news was received, the police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Alipurduar District Hospital for postmortem. The police are probing the entire incident.
