Darjeeling District Photographers Welfare Association helps the needy amid lockdown

Siliguri, 09th May: In light of the COVID-19 lockdown, the Darjeeling District Photographers Welfare Association extended its helping hand towards the needy.


Due to the lockdown, the photographers, videographers, and light technicians are said to have no source of income ever since the lockdown was imposed and are struggling to make ends meet. Learning about the helpless situation of such people, the association stepped forward and distributed ration among 150 needy people in the Siliguri Ghogomali area.


In this context, organization Secretary Sourav Joardar stated that the nation-wide lockdown in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases has made a huge economical impact on every single person. He further assured to adopt more such initiatives during the entire lockdown period.
