Siliguri, 19th March: TMC candidate Ranjan Sil Sharma visited the residence of BJP candidate Sikha Chatterjee in Dabgram–Fulbari on Thursday morning with flowers and sweets.
Ranjan, who earlier stayed at Sikha Chatterjee’s residence and began his political journey under her guidance, touched her feet and sought blessings from the BJP candidate, who has been a motherly figure in his life, before leaving for campaign activities.
Sikha Chatterjee, MLA from Dabgram–Fulbari and the BJP candidate from the constituency, received the visit and exchanged greetings. She stated that he should protect the country and expressed that the contest reflects a fight between ‘dharma’ and ‘adharma’.
Ranjan maintained that personal relations are separate from political competition and added that both belong to different political ideologies.
