Siliguri, 04th January: Dabgram forest department team of Baikunthapur division arrested two smugglers for possessing deer antlers and guns. The arrested accused have been identified as Prabhanand Roy (26) and Krishna Das (32).
Today ADFO Manjula Tirkey informed about the same. ADFO Manjula Tirkey told that last year and on November 18, the forest department arrested two with three guns who were hunting from the Pharabari area. After interrogating both the accused, two more names of people came to the fore of the officials of the Forest Department. After this today, the Baikunthapur Forest Department launched a campaign and arrested Prabhanand Roy and Krishna Das. A gun has been recovered from Prabhanand Roy and deer antlers from Krishna Das.
Today both the accused have been produced in the Jalpaiguri court.
