CPI(M) candidate Jharen Roy campaigns at Naxalbari Tea Garden, targets TMC and BJP over development issues

Naxalbari, 14th April: CPI(M) candidate Jharen Roy carried out an election campaign at Naxalbari Tea Garden under the Matigara-Naxalbari Assembly constituency, reaching out to tea garden workers.


During the campaign, the candidate raised allegations of lack of development under both the TMC and BJP governments, appealing to voters for support.

He highlighted issues related to tea workers’ wages, land rights, food security, clothing, and housing, and expressed concern over their living conditions.


Jharen Roy stated that the votes of tea garden workers are crucial in the upcoming elections.

He added that he has already completed campaigning in 24 tea gardens as well as in several rural areas.

He further claimed that tea workers are seeking relief and change from both parties and expressed confidence that the CPI(M) would emerge victorious in the Matigara-Naxalbari constituency this time.
