CPI (M) warns of massive agitation after the arrest of two CPIM leaders in charge of vandalism of a nursing home

Siliguri, 20th December; The Darjeeling district Left Front has expressed displeasure and condemned the arrest of two CPI (M) leaders in charge of vandalizing a Nursing Home in Siliguri. District Left Front has warned of massive agitation against the said incident. It is to be noted that in a case of murder of a youth in the Bhupendra Nagar area under the Bhaktinagar police station, the locals ransacked the nursing home alleging negligence in treatment. During this, the police arrested two named Surendra Sharma and Bullet Singh. Both of them are active workers of CPIM. 


 

However, Darjeeling district-level CPM secretary Saman Pathak and district Left Front convenor Jibesh Sarkar denied their involvement in vandalizing the nursing home. Today a press conference was organized by the District Left Front during which they alleged that the police arrested the above two only to fulfil political interests. Left leaders claimed that the said two arrested were stopping those vandalizing the nursing home. 


 

In this regard, Saman Pathak said that both of them are active workers of CPIM and alleged that the police have arrested them for their political affiliation. He added that if there was no political interest, the police would not have arrested these two. Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, the CPI (M) leaders and workers protested by gheraoing Bhaktinagar police station against the arrest of two CPI(M) leaders.
