CPI (M) plans to unite with other parties for the Siliguri Municipal Corporation elections

Siliguri, 24th January: Addressing the media, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) State Secretary, Suryakanta Mishra, stated that they have planned to defeat the Trinamool Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Siliguri Municipal Corporation elections.


The District CPI (M) has started setting up houses to fight elections and take power through organizational discussions and meetings focusing on the upcoming municipal elections. He stated that TMC was the only opposition party in the elections, last year. But this year, BJP is also a major force.

Mishra appealed to Congress and the other parties to unite and fight the elections together. He hopes that their joint fight will bring CPI (M) back to power in Siliguri.
