COVID-19 vaccination drive for Jalpaiguri transport workers and hawkers commences

Jalpaiguri, 13th May: COVID-19 vaccination drive commenced in Jalpaiguri for transport workers and hawkers. It has also been learned that starting today, vaccination has commenced for all between the age of 18 to 44 years.


However, standing in queues will not help people receive the vaccine. The whole process will continue systematically under the supervision of the district magistrate and the management of the health department.

Reportedly, the names registered at the district magistrate’s office will be vaccinated. As of now, 300 people will be vaccinated at a time, said Susanta Roy, OSD of the public health department of North Bengal. In this case, online registration is compulsory.


The vaccination is being carried out in the PP unit adjacent to the administrative building of Jalpaiguri District Hospital.
