Counting of votes in process amidst strict supervision at Mahendra Nath High School in Rajganj

Rajganj, 11th July: Counting of votes for the Panchayat election is in progress at Mahendra Nath High School of Rajganj Block along with the rest of the state. Notably, there are a total of 269 panchayat seats spread across 12 Gram Panchayats in Rajganj Block. Additionally, there are 36 Panchayat Samiti seats along with 3 Zila Parishad seats.


Reportedly, the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) party has already won unopposed on 6 seats. Following this, the counting of votes for the remaining 263 Gram Panchayat Constituencies is in process today. The final results are expected to be published by late at night as counting is in progress currently amidst tight security, monitored by Central forces and CCTV cameras. In addition, police are continuously patrolling the area to avoid any untoward incident. Meanwhile, a crowd of public and supporters flocked outside the counting center.
