Coronavirus Terror: Darjeeling SBI branch extends deadline for updating KYC, urges people to maintain social distancing

Darjeeling, 20th March: To combat the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus, the State Bank of India – Darjeeling Branch, on Friday, urged the people to maintain social distancing and visiting the bank only if necessary. The bank authorities also extended the deadline for updating the KYC. Notices urging the people visiting the bank to follow various steps were also put up in the bank’s premises.


1. Use alternative delivery channel – Internet Banking, YONO Platform, etc

2. Postponement of a visit to the bank for less important work – passbook printing, balance inquiry


3. Do not accompany friends/family to the bank unless it is necessary

4. Do not stay in Banking Hall once the work in completed

5. Wear masks or use handkerchief/napkins while coughing and sneezing 

6. Avoid coming to the bank if you are sick

7. Neutralize your hand touch area in the Banking Hall
