Coronavirus scare: Ram Navami procession canceled in Siliguri

Siliguri, 20th March: In view of the Coronavirus outbreak, the Shri Ramnavami Mahotsav Samiti cancels the Ram Navami procession to be held in the city.


During a press conference at the Siliguri Journalist Club, the organization's members stated that the entire country is witnessing an atmosphere of panic regarding the Novel Coronavirus. The State and the Central governments have repeatedly asked the people to avoid crowded places. Keeping so in mind, they have decided to cancel the Ram Navami's grand procession, scheduled to be held on April 2.

The members urged the people and the members of the association to read the Hanuman Chalisa in their home started from March 25 to April 2.
