To prevent the further spread of the Novel Coronavirus, the Civil Aviation Ministry on Monday announced that the all the domestic commercial flights will be stopped indefinitely from March 24 midnight. However, the ministry further added that the cargo services have been exempted from the restrictions.
West Bengal State Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, earlier sent a letter to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, requesting him to issue necessary instructions to stop all flights coming to West Bengal with immediate effect. The CM also requested to implement the lockdown in the State with true letter and spirit.
