Cooch Behar, 06th May: The Cooch Behar District BJP Yuva Morcha staged a symbolic protest on Wednesday demanding the State Government to waive off electricity bills during the COVID-19 lockdown. The BJP Yuva Morcha President Sameer Roy and many other leaders participated in the hour long demonstration.
In this context, Sameer Roy stated that it would be a huge burden if people are asked to pay the electricity bills in such a crisis. He further alleged that despite explaining the issue to the CM several times, the general public is still being asked to pay power bills through online procedures. Apart from this, the protestors also raised voice against ration corruption amid the ongoing lockdown.
