Alipurduar, 19th January: State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee participated in a government program at Subhashini Tea Garden located in Kalchini block.
The Chief Minister today inaugurated several schemes for the tea garden workers ahead of Panchayat elections. Along with this, she also talked about starting the movement regarding the provident fund of the tea garden.
On the other hand, today the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Chai Sundari Project. Apart from this, she also inaugurated 138 projects in three districts Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, and Jalpaiguri. The Chief Minister said that under the Chai Sundari project, houses would be provided to 1,127 tea workers.
