Siliguri, 02nd November: BJP MP Locket Chatterjee, while returning to Kolkata from Bagdogra today, took a jibe at the State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said that due to CM’s lack of confidence concerning the 2021 elections, she has joined hands with Bimal Gurung.
She accused Mamata Banerjee of the unrest caused in the hills. She stated that the CM has been spreading violence in Bengal for political gain.
Focusing on the CM’s meeting in Nabanna with the hill leaders Binay Tamang and Anit Thapa, Locket Chatterjee raised questions on the sudden appearance of Bimal Gurung in Kolkata despite having several criminal cases reported against him. Chatterjee claimed it to be as one of the CM’s political conspiracy.
Meanwhile, the MP refused to comment when asked regarding the protection provided by BJP to Bimal Gurung for the last three years.
