Cooch Behar, 01st September: Sensation prevailed after the body of a child was recovered from a river adjoining Chenakata Market under Mathabhanga No. 01 Block.
The body was initially spotted by the locals while fishing in the river this morning. Following this, the police of Mathabhanga police station were immediately informed.
On receiving the news, the police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
