Chief Minister announces jobs for families of Mal flash flood victims and youths who saved lives 

Jalpaiguri, 18th October: State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee arrived in North Bengal on a four-day visit. On the first day of her tour, she met the families of eight people who died in the flash flood accident during the idol immersion in the Mal river of Malbazar on Vijaya Dashami. 


Today, the Chief Minister paid homage to the dead after holding an administrative meeting and also met the family members of the victims and handed over the offer letter for a government job. 

Apart from this, she commended the youths who saved the lives of people by risking their lives on the day of Vijaya Dashami. Along with this, a cheque of Rs 1 lakh was also handed to them. Furthermore, CM also announced to provide jobs to the youths for their bravery.
