Chhota Bheem and Doraemon hit Siliguri’s road to appeal to drivers to avoid unnecessary honking

Siliguri, 25th November: A new initiative has been started by the Junction Traffic Guard of Siliguri Metropolitan Police to curb noise pollution with the help of school students. In view of this, the children came down to the road dressed as the popular cartoon characters Chhota Bheem and Doraemon along with the police to make the drivers aware of unnecessary honking by holding placards with the message “No Horn Please” in both hands. 


It is often witnessed that drivers keep honking at traffic points or on the road without any reason causing sound pollution and many more problems for the common mass endangering the environment. In regard to this, Subir Dutta, IC of Junction Traffic Guard, has requested the driver not to honk unnecessarily through the message given out by the school students.
