Siliguri, 17th November: The Promod Nagar Chhath Puja Committee distributed puja materials among 1000 women.
Reportedly, for the last 15 years, the said committee has been distributing puja materials among the Chhath puja devotees. This year, too, 11 kgs of wheat, 2 kgs of sugar, two coconuts, and sarees were provided to them.
According to the puja committee, many families are facing financial problems due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, such an initiative has been taken to help all offer Chhath puja.
