Siliguri, 13th June: In a tragic incident, a boy, while trying to fetch his kite, fell through the Haidar Para Market Complex building’s roof and died on the spot, on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Sunny Bhujel, a resident of the mentioned area. Grief engulfed the entire area after the unfortunate event.
According to local sources, the said minor was flying a kite with his friends today, when the kite allegedly got stuck in a plastic roofing sheet situated in the middle of the complex’s roof. In an attempt to retrieve the kite, Sunny climbed up the shed and fell through the roof killing him on the spot.
Upon receiving the news, Siliguri Municipal Corporation’s Ward No. 40 Co-ordinator Satyajit Adhikari and Bhaktinagar police reached the spot. The police recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. An investigation has been launched regarding the matter.
