Siliguri, 17th July: Sensation has gripped the area following the discovery of an unidentified teenager’s body on the banks of the Mahananda River in Ward No. 03 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. Local residents spotted the lifeless body floating in the river this evening, prompting them to inform the police. Responding swiftly, the police arrived at the scene and recovered the body, subsequently sending it for postmortem examination.
Preliminary assessments suggest that the teenager was about 14-15 years old and might have passed away around two days ago. It is suspected that the body may have been carried downstream from another location. However, as of the time of this report, the deceased’s identity remains unknown. The police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the incident to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
