Siliguri, 10th February: The body of a missing youth was recovered from Fulbari Barrage, on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Aibul Islam.
It is to be noted that Aibul Islam, a resident of Paschim Dhantala, Fulbari, used to work at a petrol pump. He went missing on February 01. Unable to find him, his family lodged a missing diary at the NJP police station. His shoes were located at the lock gate of Fulbari Barrage, following which, a search was conducted with the help of the disaster response team.
Aibul’s body was recovered from Fulbari Barrage today and sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
The deceased’s uncle Anwar Hossain said that Aibul had a love affair with a girl and must have taken such a step due to some reasons between them. NJP police are investigating the whole incident.
