Naxalbari, 09th February: Sensation prevailed in the area after a minor’s body was recovered from a sack thrown away near the boundary wall of a closed hotel in Rathkhola of Naxalbari on Tuesday night. The minor is said to be a resident of the same area.
The locals alleged that the minor was raped and dumped after killing. A person identified as Jagdeep Bepari has been suspected as the prime accused by the locals, however, no arrest has been made as of now. The agitated locals plundered Jagdeep Bepari’s house and tea shop.
Meanwhile, a large force of Naxalbari police reached the spot immediately. District Additional Superintendent of Police, Rural DSP, Circle Inspector also reached the spot to control the situation. The residents demanded brutal punishment for the culprits.
The minor’s body was sent to the morgue of Naxalbari Rural Hospital. Later today, the body was sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
