Fulbari, 27th July: Sensation prevailed on Thursday morning after the locals found the lifeless body of a man hanging from a noose on the edge of a boundary wall in the Purba Dhantala area of Fulbari II Gram Panchayat (GP). The deceased has been identified as Arup Saha (30).
As per family sources, Arup is survived by his wife and their two children. However, due to certain family issues, he had been residing alone on rent in Purba Dhantala for several months. Given the current situation, the family is at a loss as to why Arup resorted to such an extreme step.
Meanwhile, New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Police arrived at the spot, upon receiving the news of the incident. Police recovered the deceased’s body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for autopsy. At present, the police are engaged in investigating the entire incident.
