Kalchini, 01st January: Sensation prevailed at the beginning of the new year after a blood-soaked body of a youth was recovered. The incident surfaced from the Madhu Tea Garden area of Kalchini block.
Reportedly, today morning the locals found the blood-soaked dead body of the said youth in a drain under the Madhu bridge. After this, they informed the police. As soon as the news was received, the police of the Hasimara Out Post reached the spot and recovered the body.
The deceased youth has been identified as Abhishek Oraon. According to police sources, it is speculated that the young man was murdered with a sharp weapon. Injuries were found in various parts of the body of the deceased. Police have sent the body to Alipurduar District Hospital for postmortem and have started an investigation into the incident.
