BJP’s 12-hour bandh: Party supporters vandalize NBSTC bus in Cooch Behar

Cooch Behar, 14th July: A 12-hour strike across the entire North Bengal has been called by the Bharatiya Janata Party, as a sign of protest against the mysterious death of Devendra Nath Roy, BJP MLA of Hematabad under North Dinajpur district on Monday.


Reportedly, the BJP leaders and workers, since yesterday, staged rallies and demonstration programmes in different areas to support the bandh.

Several BJP activists were seen picketing in different areas since Tuesday morning. They were also found vandalizing an North Bengal State Transport Corporation bus in the Ghugumari area while it was on its way to Cooch Behar from Mathabhanga.
