BJP workers protest at Ambari Chowki Rajganj in protest against attack on MP Jayanta Roy

Rajganj, 12th June: Condemning the attack on Jalpaiguri MP Jayanta Roy, the BJP activists of Rajganj North Division staged a protest at Ambari Falakata Police Out Post, demanding the arrest of all the accused at the earliest. Along with this, a memorandum was also submitted to the police station.


It is to recall after the assembly election concluded in the state, a series of violence erupted across Bengal where the BJP leader and workers were attacked. To save their lives, many were even forced to leave their homes and flee. MP Jayanta Roy alleged that the TMC activists attacked him and the other when he was helping the displaced BJP workers of the Bhandari Gach area of ​​Rajganj block return home. The Trinamool, however, denied all the allegations.


Speaking on the event, Nitai Mandal, BJP Rajganj North Division vice-president also alleged that on Friday, the MP and party workers were attacked by Trinamool miscreants. “Protests are being held across the district demanding the arrest of all those involved,” Mandal added, further stating that a massive movement will be initiated if the attackers are not arrested at the earliest.
