BJP supporters call for repainting Uttar Kanya saffron, slogans raised during victory celebrations

Fulbari, 05th May: BJP workers and supporters on Tuesday called for repainting Uttar Kanya from its existing blue-and-white colour to saffron during post-election victory celebrations. The demand was raised as supporters gathered outside the administrative headquarters and celebrated the political change in the state.

Amid the celebrations, slogans were raised asserting that Uttar Kanya would reflect the new political shift. Supporters expressed their enthusiasm following the change in power and marked the occasion with loud chants.

According to the supporters, North Bengal had long been neglected and the formation of a new government would open a new chapter of development for the region.

They further stated that planning and implementation of development works across the 54 Assembly constituencies of North Bengal would now be carried out from Uttar Kanya.

The demand to change the building’s colour from blue-and-white to saffron was raised as part of this broader assertion of political change.
