Siliguri, 24th March: BJP leader Bikash Sarkar has been arrested in Siliguri’s Ward No. 24 in a dispute over the ward office. In protest of the said incident, the BJP staged a walkout during the discussion on the budget session of the Municipal Corporation.
Today, a discussion was held on the budget of the Municipal Corporation. In the beginning, Leader of Opposition Amit Jain made a statement. After this, the BJP councilors staged a walkout in protest against the incident in Ward No. 24 that took place on Thursday.
In this regard, Amit Jain said that the said budget is not in the public interest and no one can benefit from the same.
