BJP released manifesto for Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad elections

Siliguri, 13th June: With the Siliguri Mahakama Parishad elections just around the corner, all political parties have started electioneering vigorously. Likewise, on Monday, the Bharatiya Janata Party released its manifesto before the election of the Mahakuma Parishad at the party office in Mallaguri. Darjeeling MP Raju Bista and MLA Anandamoy Barman were present on the occassion. 


Addressing the media, MP Bista said that if BJP’s board is formed in Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad elections, then the first thing would be to bring ‘clean and transparency’ in the board. The digitization of the central government will be carried from the department to the block level. The MP further added that the benefits of important projects of the central government will be extended to remote areas. Every rural household will have access to tap water supply by the year 2024. People living in tea garden areas will be given land leases and the problem of minimum wage will be resolved soon. 

The MP further said that the Centre has given approval for the construction of a 6-lane bridge and a 14-km road from Balasan to Bengal Safari Park. The project will be carried out at the cost of about Rs 1,000 crore and the tender process has already started for the same.
