BJP MPs demand CBI probe into party worker Ulen Roy’s death

Siliguri, 08th December: After the death of BJP worker Ulen Roy during the Uttarkanya campaign yesterday, the BJP state leaders expressed outrage over the role of state government.

BJP leaders including MP Raju Bista, Jayanta Roy, and Nishith Pramanik arrived at Mantadari village in Gajoldoba on Tuesday morning to meet the family members of the deceased. MP Raju Bista interacted with Roy’s wife Malati Roy.

While addressing the media, Bista stated that the family will definitely get a job or equal compensation and asserted that the party will stand by their side in the coming days. He further stated that the party has demanded a CBI investigation into the incident and that all MPs of the party will approach the Home Minister. He further said that they cannot rely on CID as it belongs to CM Mamata Banerjee.

Jalpaiguri MP Jayanta Roy also raised questions on the role of CID. The relatives of the deceased urged the BJP MPs to stay by the side of the mourning family.

Meanwhile, the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Jalpaiguri District Court has considered the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) petition for conducting a fresh post-mortem of Ulen Roy in the presence of 3 doctors with full video recording.
