BJP holds demonstrations in Siliguri against death of party’s youth leader in Islampur

Siliguri, July 23: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) staged a demonstration in Siliguri to express its outrage over the passing of BJYM leader Ashim Saha from Islampur whilst demanding the resignation of the chief minister of the state.

On Sunday, BJP’s Darjeeling District Yuva Morcha, led by State President of BJYM, Indranil Khan, held a rally and later held a protest on the streets at Hashmi Chowk (Venus More). Alleging that the state’s governance system has collapsed, BJYM President Dr. Indranil Khan demanded the immediate resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Notably, BJYM leader Asim Saha was incidentally attacked by miscreants with sharp weapons. The youth leader passed away on Saturday night after being transported with significant injuries to a private hospital in Siliguri. Significantly, Dr. Indranil Khan had visited the household of the deceased earlier on Sunday.
