Siliguri, 18th October: BJP protested alleging that the land of North Bengal University has been handed over to private institutions in an unethical and illegal manner. Making such allegations, the BJP today demonstrated in front of Gate No. 2 of the university.
During this, Anandamoy Barman, Laxmi Sharma, Nantu Paul, and others were present. Later 15 BJP leaders and workers met the Vice Chancellor. Anandamoy Burman alleged that the land of North Bengal University was being handed over to private institutions. He said that BJP has been agitating since day one to protect the land of the said university and they will not allow even an inch of land to be sold.
