Siliguri, 06th November: After attending a meeting with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Nabanna-Kolkata, Gorkha Janmukti Morcha president Binay Tamang and party’s General Secretary and GTA Chairman Anit Thapa arrived at Bagdogra Airport today. A large number of their supporters gathered at the airport to welcome the duo.

While exiting the airport, Tamang uttered only one phrase to the media “Mission A Complete”. After this, he left for the Darjeeling Hills with his convoy.

It is to be noted that Binay Tamang and Anit Thapa left for Kolkata on November 02 to attend a meeting convened by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Nabanna. The meeting was held on November 03, where various issues including the current situation of the hills were discussed.

Before leaving for Kolkata on Monday, Tamang held a press conference where he stated that Bimal Gurung is neither a subject nor an object. He said that Gurung is a closed chapter in Darjeeling.

With the return of the GJM-2 leaders in the hills, it will be interesting to watch what will be their next step in the political scenario especially with the 2021 Bengal assembly election up ahead.
