Darjeeling, 02nd November: Gorkha Janmukti Morcha president Binay Tamang and General Secretary and GTA Chairman Anit Thapa left for Kolkata this afternoon to attend a meeting convened by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Nabanna tomorrow.
Before leaving for Kolkata, GJM leader Binay Tamang spoke to the reporters and maintained Bimal Gurung and Roshan Giri are not a threat to him but instead, the matter is just the other way round. He said that Gurung’s return to the Darjeeling Hills will not affect his political career.
Tamang further added that the CM has not yet announced any particular date for the return of Gurung in the hills.
The GJM leader affirmed that only the current situation in the hills will be discussed with the officials at the meeting convened by the Chief Minister in Nabanna tomorrow.
