Siliguri, 23rd November: Acting on a tip-off the police of Bidhan Nagar Investigation Center of Phansidewa busted illegal liquor before smuggling last Tuesday night. The cops intercepted a four-wheeler carrying and received the liquor which was hidden under sacks of potatoes.
After conducting a search, about 52 cartons of liquor were recovered and the driver and assistant driver were arrested. The two accused have been identified as Devendra Singh and Simran Singh, both residents of Bihar. The police have initiated a further investigation into the matter.
